Rates and FAQs

Carlisle Collective is committed to offering our clients exceptional service. Counseling is a valuable method for transformation and our rates aim to reflect the experience and training of our clinicians. To find a therapist that is a great fit, please contact us here or give us a call so that we can help facilitate this process.

Generally speaking, we operate as a private pay practice to offer our clients the most flexibility, confidentiality, and choice as possible in their treatment. Several clinicians are in-network with a select few insurance plans- please inquire further for that information. Additionally, we DO believe in accessibility, so every clinician does offers sliding scale spots. Please contact us further for that information.

And you might be pleasantly surprised at possible out-of-network options through your insurance plan!

Tell me more…

Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at the time of your appointment. Then, your clinician can provide a superbill each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We love Reimbusify for its INCREDIBLE simplicity of filing out-of-network claims. Many insurance providers also have a simple portal for you to use.

So what now?

You can use the out-of-network reimbursement calculator below to get an individualized estimate of what your costs will be using your out-of-network benefits!

If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session.

FAQs

How do I actually use out-of-network benefits?

First, you should call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services.

Here are some useful questions to ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible?

  • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

  • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone
    out-of-network?

  • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

  • How much will I be reimbursed for a 60-minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90837)?

  • What’s the best way to submit claim forms for reimbursement?

  • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

Why is therapy so expensive?

This article by HuffPost titled “Why Is Therapy So Expensive?”  is a great resource that provides some background into the pricing for therapy and explains the reasons for the high costs of therapy.

How long does therapy last?

Well, that depends… some clinicians meet with a client for a few sessions; others may meet with their clients for years. Personally, I’ve been seeing my therapist for 8 years (from Sarah)!

How often should we meet?

Most therapists will suggest that you start off meeting once a week. Establishing rapport and building an authentic relationship is extremely important to the process and meeting weekly can facilitate this connection. After that’s been established, you and your therapist will collaborate on how often works best. Being on the same page about cadence and frequency expectations helps the therapeutic process!

How do I pick a therapist?

All therapists at our Collective offer free consultations because we know that therapeutic rapport is the number 1 most important factor in determining therapeutic success. If there is a therapist that you are drawn to, you’re welcome to schedule a consultation with them; if you need help deciding, please Contact Us and someone on our staff will help!

What’s your cancellation policy?

We understand that things happen. However, we can’t take care of our therapists if our clients don’t show up. Many of our therapists are able to fill your spot from a waitlist if you are able to give adequate notice. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, we will have to charge our $75 cancellation feed (regardless of copay amount or session fee). We do this to ensure that we can help as many people as possible.
