You’re overwhelmed and reaching the end of your rope. Balancing external expectations and internal pressure is exhausting. Constantly seeking approval and validation from others, you’re left feeling empty. You’re filling up everyone else’s cup, but who is filling up yours? I understand that feeling, and I’m here to create space for you and help you regain a sense of resiliency.

Professional
Previously, I have worked with adolescent survivors of domestic human trafficking in a residential treatment center, and it was this experience that led me to pursue a career in clinical social work. My passion for this work centers on a belief that everyone should have access to a safe space with someone to talk to. In grad school, I continued to counsel clients at the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, and these two experiences helped me realize my love for working with young adults. From there, I became a therapy intern at the Fifth Avenue Counseling Center, a nonprofit psychodynamic therapy practice for adults in New York City.

All of my therapeutic relationships are based on trauma-informed, client-centered care. With each client, I believe it is important to take the time necessary to get to know one another and build trust at a pace that feels right to them. In our work together, I will use talk therapy with a strengths-based perspective to help us identify and reach your goals. Whether that is navigating complex relationships, building confidence, setting boundaries, minimizing negative self-talk, or breaking free from patterns you feel no longer serve you, I am here to help you feel empowered to make change.

Personal
As someone who understands emotional overwhelm and people-pleasing all too well, I’m here to share this journey with you. Ever since I can remember, I’ve felt weighed down by the worry of how others may perceive me. Through work in my own therapy, I have been able to discover strengths and lean into self-compassion. My identity as a therapist is one that I cherish, and I feel honored to have clients share their lives with me.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me trying new restaurants, exploring farmers’ markets, and asking strangers if I can pet their dogs. Although it can be difficult to prioritize self-care when life gets extra busy, I try to recharge by taking long walks or curling up on the couch with a mind-bending documentary.
