Walk+Talk Therapy

A mindfulness-based body-oriented practice to allow you to empower you to dive deeper with your therapist

Make it stand out.

Walking while talking with a therapist is considered a movement-based therapy. This practice allows for mind-body insight. Walking and talking alongside your therapist can empower you to speak with more ease- especially when discussing challenging or sensitive topics.

Meet our Walk & Talk Therapists

Walking is a practice of moving forward

Traditional talk therapy takes place in an office, in an attempt to allow a client to feel more comfortable in their surrouding so that they can allow space for vulnerability in session. Walk+Talk therapy creates an even deeper spaciousness, depth and vulnerability- one step at a time.

More about Walk+Talk

What about the weather?
You and your therapist will first have a backup plan that you’ve gone over beforehand. Virtual therapy is always an option!

What if we see someone we know?
While confidentiality is always a priority for your therapist, there are certain things that you cannot control. We will definitely discuss the limits to confidentiality, especially in a novel outdoor setting before our first walk+talk session.

Is this exercise?
Nope! We move at a gentle and mindful speed (and sometimes, we sit down!) We go at your own pace, so this approach accommodates all kinds of bodies.

Who is walk+talk therapy for?
Walk+talk is for anyone and everyone, especially those humans who don’t necessarily feel comfortable sitting across from a therapist face-to-face or are experiencing “Zoom fatigue”. This approach accommodates all shapes and sizes, including any limited mobility concerns.

What’s the cost?
Walk+talk therapy costs the same as any other type of therapy! To inquire about costs with specific providers, please discuss their specific fees with them.

Where will we meet?
You and your therapist will have a plan laid out. They’ve already figured out a route and will keep track of time. At this time, we offer walk+talk therapy in Austin and Dallas.

How can I learn more?

Please reach out to a specific therapist to ask about walk+talk therapy. Madeleine, Trenton, Christine, Hannah, and Rachel are happy to offer this service in Austin. We’re so excited to be walking alongside you during this journey.

During walk+talk sessions, you might find it easier to relax, open up, and process experiences in a different way.
