You know that no one promises life will be easy, but you didn’t expect it to be this hard. You feel stuck in anxious thoughts and perfectionism and feel like all the rules you’ve created have trapped you. You long for freedom, deeper meaning, and purpose in your life and are ready to learn how to live life more effortlessly and intentionally. Your mind is constantly racing. You’re scared to make actual changes but if you could think your way to a solution you would but instead feel trapped inside this swirl of thoughts that are repetitive and exhausting.

The truth is that no amount of thinking or trying to do things ‘perfectly’ is going to help. The secret lies in learning to connect to your intuitive self which means tuning into your somatic experience through mindfulness and grounding. First, let’s educate you about the patterns you’re in and why they’re showing up, and together process any trauma and develop somatic awareness in order to help you step into your most peace-filled authentic self.

So let’s work together!

Current Approach
I’m aware therapy is a financial and emotional investment. This is why my approach is aimed at getting deeper, faster. Typically, I recommend clients begin working with me weekly for the first 3 months at which point we will decide together if it is appropriate to decrease the frequency of sessions. Most of my clients decrease session frequency around the 2-3 month mark.

Professional
While in grad school I completed my practicum at Capital Area Mental Health Center where I primarily worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and difficulty in transitions. I have also worked in courts where I helped develop a program to reduce recidivism in teens, worked at an assessment center with a focus on court-mandated clients, and in an employee assistance program. My primary focus was court-mandated clients and the homeless population. I went on to found and sell a Pilates studio that I operated for 10+ years. This heavily influenced my return to the mental health space where I now work holistically with adolescents and young adults in a private practice setting.

My deep clinical passion focuses on clients experiencing some sort of anxiety: phobias, rumination, hypochondria, chronic health, chronic pain, and trauma. Many of my clients are also experiencing difficulty with their family of origin and relationships, difficulty with transitions, depression, and feelings of isolation. I also enjoy working with therapists. I have completed training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Reiki (I, II & Master Training), and Pilates and incorporate things like breathwork and mindfulness in my clinical approach.

My clients would say I’m a blend of collaborative, curious, gentle, playful, and direct. Creating a space for you to feel safe to explore, discover, and heal at your own pace is incredibly important to me. I also understand how important the therapeutic relationship is and that our communication and ability to co-regulate is as impactful for you as is the things we discuss and process.

Holistic health and healing are my passions and form the basis of the lens through which I view you. I believe healing is possible for everyone, that it’s never too late to begin this journey, and that you have the tools within yourself to experience your most fulfilling and meaningful life.

Personal
Healing and personal growth and development are at the core of who I am. I developed debilitating depression at an early age and first began therapy over two decades ago. Therapy and holistic approaches like intuitive art, dance, movement, somatic awareness, breath, and spirituality literally saved my life, and is why I’m so passionate about taking a holistic approach with my clients. I have a daily movement practice, like to dance around my house and take meditative walks. I’m sensitive and have big feelings. I love to love and I love to feel. I also have a 4-year-old kitty who I found outside when she was 4 weeks old who eventually jumped in my car and refused to let me leave her outside a minute more. I love being in nature, reading, writing, dancing, playing piano, and spending time with those I love. I grew up in Houston and have lived in Austin since 2005. Also, I love Taylor Swift!

CALAMARI

Callie is my 4-year-old feral kitten turned lap cat. She’s a mix of sweet and mischievous. She loves to hold hands and steal food off my plate (her favorites are salmon, fried chicken, and chips). You might catch a glimpse of her with a case of the zoomies behind me on a virtual call.
